HELP...Injured Elbow

I began to experience elbow pain a few months ago. It got so bad I went to the doctor and he said it is tennis elbow. The pain and swelling is the worst after a bicep workout. I took 3 weeks off from the gym, iced it a lot, wore a brace and started back on the weights. Low weights, slow reps. Well the pain is still there and I'm getting pissed cause I have 1000 mg of QV Var ready to go but don't want to waste it. Any bro's out there with advice on how to heal my elbow? Should I work through the pain, will the Var help it out, or will I just do permanent damage? Any advice is appreciated. TIA.

I hurt my elbow from taking advice from a BB'ing mag. I know you should never lock out tricep extensions, but some BB'er said that it is the only way you can get the full growth to your elbow. So, my dumbass tries it and on the first set I feel something pull.

I couldn't bench or hit my tri's for wks.

I would definately hold off on the gear for now. Use a heating pad to warm it up before the gym, and warm up really well in the gym. Don't over do it and just concentrate on what you can do. Drink plenty of water to lubricate those joints.

Immediatly after the gym ice it down, heat before, ice after really helped me out.

You may be over training which caused you to get hurt in the first place and your training methods may be causing you from healing.
