Hello all!

It is frustrating for me. I need atleast 8-10 hours of sleep each night to feel good. 12 hours is like in heaven...

But those numbers surely aren't normal. I know some guys who sleep like 4 hours and feel good...

anyone sleeps alot/very little?

anything I should be concerned about?

reply please! Thanks@!

Nope, I need at least 8hours and usually more to feel really "RIGHT". Especially when I am on cycle and working out with extreme intensity. I sometimes will sleep 8 hours and then on the weekend Ill take an occasional nap (20-40 minutes). Sleep needs vary widely some people can get by on 6 hours of sleep and be perfectly alert, others (like myself) require much more...

Are you on a cycle? I noticed that I felt like a terd unless I got 10 hours when I was on a deca-only cycle. Any change in body chemistry can change your sleep needs and/or sleep patterns.

I noticed that while on cycle and doing lots of cardio, (4 or 5 times a week) I don't seem to need as much sleep. I'm fine with 5 or 6 hours and continue to make good gains.

During the times I'm not doing cardio I always need more sleep.

If you feel tired or sluggish midday, you're probably not getting enough sleep.

Try adding cardio. I swear it works for me.

Yeah bro, very normal

When I'm on a cycle I sleep at LEAST 10 hours. Which is rediculous because of school/work/lifting. But I manage to get it all done. If I get any less than 8 hours then I'll be dragging ass in the gym and I won't have any energy for the rest of the day....

Nah bro, you're just a lazy fuck!!!

Actually, since I lost my job, I've been getting about 14-16 hours a day, only waking for a protein/water/potty break. I just started anavar and sust today, so I'm expecting to get some good gains off of this.

Getting as much REM sleep as you can is an absolute nesscessity while on cycle, I for one have always needed my sleep and I'm not complaining cos it's grow time!

Dude i know how you feel, i sleep so much.

4am - Wake up
4:30am Gym
6am - 10am - SLEEP
10-12 work
12-4 school
4 - 7 SLEEP
7-11 work/school or whatever depends on tha day
11-4am SLEEP

12 hours of sleep. I still get a lot done though, maybe that's why i'm tired so much.

On a cycle you work out harder, too, tearing down the muscle tissue and stressing the joints faster, so your body needs more time to repair the damage.

A cycle basically puts your body back into the hormonal place it was during adolescence, when you were growing from a "soft" boy into a muscular man. Remember how much sleep you needed at fourteen or fifteen? On a cycle you're in that place again.:fro:

wow! Maybe I am on my muscle growth spurt! Hopefully...

Weird is that I SLEEP MORE now then I used at 14-15.
I am almost 18 now. '

And the messed thing is that I AM NOT ON GEAR. 17 years is just too young for gear in my book.

Is this terrible sleep a good sign.. or maybe I am overtraining?> (I train 2 per week btw... HARD)

reply please!
thanks

At seventeen you're still adolescent in lots of ways -- your bones are still lengthening, your body composition is still changing from boy-type to man-type, you're probably getting taller. It's natural to need a lot of sleep. Training just adds more need for sleep.

You're right to stay away from AS at this age. AS are to make older guys' hormone profile match what you have naturally at seventeen. Be patient, let yourself grow to your full height. You'll have all the time in the world for AS later.

Thanks for such good reply!

however I doubt that I am growing in height. I have been at 5'8 for like 1 year atleast... booo....

And my hormones are sucky. I DONT SHAVE YET! sucks, eh? Shoudn't lots of hormones make you grow lots of hair?

maybe I need to finish puberty.heheh..... Will I grow more muscles then? maybe thats why I am struggling to get hugely muscular... I need mature body, right?

Everyone goes through puberty at a different time and speed, so don't worry. If you aren't shaving yet, that indicates you're still in the middle of it, so yes, you'll have to be patient before you can start putting on hard muscle.

Gaining quality muscle didn't become easy for me until I was over thirty! So you've got plenty of time.

Re. your height, don't be so sure you've stopped growing. Bill Gates (yes, the Microsoft Bill Gates) grew up a block away from me. He was in my Boy Scout Troop. When he was a teenager he got kidded a lot about being short.

Then he grew several inches between the ages of 18 and 21. He became quite a tall guy, after all. Some people have a late growth spurt. Using AS might cheat you out of your final growth spurt, so stay off them, and let yourself grow to your full height.
