Help!!! I have a predicament!!

Ok, here is my situation, i am 18 years old, 5'7 and weigh 160. For the last 6 months i have been bulking, eating everything in site, taking protein, weightgainer, and creatine. I do a bulking workout, and do no cardio whatsoever. I have seen excellent results in size and strength, but lately i have been noticing alot of fat being put on, specifically in my face and stomach. I still want to be bigger than i am now, but i don't want to look like chit in the process. What should i do? I really don't want to start cutting, because 160 is still not heavy enough for me, and i will be down to like 145 after cutting. Is there anyway for me to continue bulking but lose some fat in the process, not get cut, just lose some of the fat? Also, no drugs like ephedra or anything. Thanks.

Clean up your diet. Add in some light cardio a couple of days a week, like the exercise bike for 30min on a lower setting to help keep burning calories. It is going to be impossible to not add any fat while bulking but you can limit the amount you put on. Also you can modulate your workouts and bulk for two weeks then cut for one, back and forth.

What Scotsman said.

Also, let me clarify about what you said about "drugs." Ephedra and the like are not really drugs. They're supplements. They are not harmful, either. Use it responsibly, like anything else in the world, and you'll be fine.

Ephedra isn't harmful? I thought I heard something about it giving someone cancer or killing them or something. Anybody know anything about that?

I dunno about Ephedra man. I'm all natural. I recommend Silk Soy Milk (The FDA Recommends 25 grams of Soy protein a day to reduce the risk of heart disease) to anybody who is trying to build muscle.

you beat me to it

Ephedra can be dangerous if people who are in poor physical condition take it in larger amounts. The stimulant effect can cause heart problems. If you are in reasonably good shape and don't over use it you'll be fine. As for the soy protein the problem there is that soy has a direct link to increasing serum estrogen levels which can hinder muscle growing. The American medical Association also recommends that I should only weigh around 200lbs. So clearly they don't know what they are talking about ;)

I knew when i started bulking that i would put on fat, but i don't want to start looking like a slob. I am not fat at all now, but my stomach isn't close to being flat, which kind of bothers me, but not as much as my face. I am scared about changing my diet, becuase i am paranoid about losing weight and muscle, since i really am not even up to par with weight yet. Should i just suck it up and take the fat gains until i decide to cut or what? Also, if i keep the same diet, workout, but added in cardio like scotsman said, would that impede my gains? There is no reason for me to cut now, becuase i am still not close to being big, and i will look like a runner or something if i cut now. I just want to minimize the fat gains, but still keep putting on mass.

*blink* Are you serious?

How about doing just a smidgeon of research on Ephedra?

You'll also find studies that will tell you that men shouldn't use soy because of how it will cause men to put weight on around the middle due to some interection with estrogen.

The FDA is the LAST source in the world for any reliability of information.

Yes, and it keeps telling me I'm 45lbs overweight. As a matter of fact I fall into the morbidly obese column. I'll put my physique up against any of theirs any day of the week.

No that amount of cardio won't impede you gains in fact I alway do a little cardio when I bulk I find it helps me eat more. Also by cleaning up your diet you don't have to reduce calories and you will probably bulk better. By "cleaning up" I mean modulate your carbs increase healthy fat consumption and get more calorie dense protien sources (ie. red meat or pork)

Dude, bulking with fat loss is for juicers. Normal dudes simply can't do it.

If you think you're gaining too much fat, try cutting out sugars and adding protein. Or pick a better routine.
