Help and advice and maybe answers

I have been training real hard and i have gotten to the point where i think my triceps and biceps are too big and strong. What i mean is that i have gotten to a point that when ever i work on either muscle group, the muscles in my forearms begin to hurt. Is it possible that my forearm muscles are not strong enough to keep up with the muscles in my upper arm? If so, what should I do?

Sounds like you got forearm splints. I get them when I work my bis and tris...can be pretty uncomfortable. Try massaging your forearms between sets and for a little while after your done working out.

do forearm curls... once you get to this point you are going to have to start adding a day to workout your forearms, pretty normal stuff

I had this about 10 years ago. I would literally be in tears from the pain. I would be running ice cold water over them in between sets. The only thing that really worked was taking about 4 alleve before my workout. I also changed my bicep routine to mostly machines and cables for about a month until my forearms recovered.

So this is a normal thing? Ive have worked hard on my bis and tris. so i need to work my forearms? that sucks, its take time away from other muscles now!

When there are weird aches and pains, I always look at diet. Might sound odd, but neuropathy and myopathy are often caused by nutritional defecits.

So were you going for the opposite popeye look? Big upper arms and beanpole forearms? Why weren't you working them out in the first place?

I get those all the time. What has worked for me is to not grip the bar as tight. Grip it a little bit loose. This should relieve of your pain....trust me.

Not wrapping your thumb around the bar/grip may help!
i have/ had this same problem when i started a new routine that was more aggressive than my old one. the pain feels like a chin splint the only way i can describe it. i get it from just above my wrist all the way up to my shoulder between the bi and tri on my weaker arm it especially hurts after heavy benching. what worked for me was 2 wks off and lighter weights for about a month after.

static holds?? well it depends on where it hurts??
and i would guess it is probably like shin splints in your forarms..
can you do some bicep exersices with out any problem? but others hurt???

Similar experience here. I went lighter weight for about 2 weeks, but did not take any time off. I felt it even when doing dumbell bench presses. I cut out doing all forearm work too, for those 2 weeks. What you have is overtrained forearms. SO whaterver you do, do not train them more!!

I use to haver a problem with squeezin the shit out of the bar too. That does causew like a shooting pain up outside of forearm

i think what is happening is the tendions in your forearm are getting inflamed because they are not strong enough to handle the workload you use for bicep training. my advice is taking a week or so off to let them rest, maybe 2 weeks and start traing forearms like you would any other muscle. you also may want to try takeing an otc anti inflamitory like ibuprofen for a few weeks also.
