Yes. I am here wishing my boss would hire people just a tad more intelligent who would be able to report problems to me and actually provide some details.

Just now I got an e-mail telling me that one of the quotes my program gave to a client from our website was incorrect (it's correct, though, trust me). This is basically the only information I got:

"Your quote is wrong. The hotel quoted $X and you quoted $Y." They didn't tell me how the hotel got that quote... they didn't tell me what nightly rate they used, how much they charged for the children, what special promotions they applied - NOTHING! How the hell am I supposed to figure out what's wrong without any information? That's like walking into the hospital tomorrow and going:

"Doctor I don't feel well."

Doctor: "Well, what's wrong?"

You: "I don't feel well."

Doctor: "Can you be more specific? If you don't tell me what's wrong, I can't help you."

You: "IT HURTS!!!!!! HELP DOCTOR!!!"

Man... I was a good student in HS, but I sure as hell didn't pass the "mind-reading" class.

haha i work for the government and you'd be surprised how many people think we should get in touch with their employers for things they're supposed to because they don't want to have to deal with it. amazing!
