Naw, I picked some up to go to sleep, didnt do a damn thing so I just kept taking them til I did, I dont drink anymore so I thought hmmmm, lets just see how it feels to take more since it works on the exact same chemical receptors as alcohol (GD?). Nothing, waste of 12$ to get the script filled

I don't find that I feel any drunker when I drink alcohol. It just intensifies the drowsiness. Makes me very weak and feel like shit when I drink.

Yeah, alcohol has an excitatory phase in the beginning of ingestion, then proceeds to the depressant stage. Benzos dont have the excitatory phase and just act as a depressant to those receptors. They potentiate with each other so the drowsiness is increased by combining them rather than taking them separate.
Mixing the two can kill someone if they drink too much.
Interesting I saw a case of a guy that mixed the herbal antianxiety Kava Kava with xanax and went into a coma. ALso kava has been linked to liver damage and failure in some cases

That explains why if I'm in a club and I've had a couple of drinks, I feel like if someone fucks with me, I'd knock them on their ass in the blink of an eye. But, that feeling doesn't last long. I'm actually more acutely aware of my power, strength, athleticsm and physical superiority over the average Joe... right after I've had a couple of drinks. Strange. Even sober, I don't feel this way unless I have a surplus of energy. The excitation phase explains it.

When people drink alcohol it shuts down the cortex and you starting relying on the alligator brain so to speak, more primitive part of the brain in charge of aggression and sex, food, hunger, innate drives etc...

Exactly because i'm a fucking coward when I'm sober. I call it just being smart. I have a couple of drinks, I don't turn into an asshole, it's just like you said though, I get very brave and I suddenly know what I'm capable of.
