Cool. I have been having a hell of a time with injects.
Just the smallest amount of gear was crashing after I premixed and preloaded 2 weeks of shots. Looked like specks in the barrel which weren't there when I preloaded. Shooting with a 23g and the plunger would lock-up about half way thru the inject. I would have to push the plunger really hard while keeping the needle straight to get it to start moving again. I almost went ahead and bought some 21g needles to see if it would be easier.
Im going to try the hot water trick tomorrow to see if it fixes the problem.

I never liked the idea of putting the needle or barrell of the syringe anywhere near water. I think there is too much risk. I would stick with:
1) Hair dryer
2) small shallow container of very warm water and put the vial in that (obviously doesnt work for preloads)

geesh guys just use a heating pad. I wrap it in a heating pad before my shower on medium heat. Then I get out of my hot shower with a super clean butt cheek and a nice warm dart.
Just make sure to leave the syringe tipped up or when the fluid gets warm it will drip out the end of the syringe even with the cover on which it should still be on for sterility sake.
I wrap it up and lean it on a bump on my blankets on my bed. It easy, clean and quite effective.

barrel yes but u said submerge pin my good friend which is a different story. probably just a misunderstanding between what u wrote and how it can be interpreted.
submerging the plunger side down into the water would not expose the pin to the water, correct.

Never clean a needle, just replace it with a new one.bigoldbadassbob said:
If holding it under running water, make sure to hold it capped needle side up, and keep that part dry. Only let the barrel and plunger get wet

Friction! With the needle capped rub the barrel (with the oil inside) in your hands for 2-3 minutes, worked better than the hot cup of water w/ vial submerged trick, for me so far at least.
