Yea, I'm here tons lately because I'm not back to work and I get bored at home. Options are limited because of the young one. I get the house clean in the morning, jump on here. Spend the rest of the day taking care of the baby. I jump on here when he naps. When I'm at work, I can't get on here because we don't have internet on the ambulance. I'm gonna find a way....

He pisses all of his karmas away in the bookie room. Just wait...before long he'll be coming home slobbering drunk with no money.

That money you saved to send Dagwood on that field trip?

Gone.

I'm investing in a better future for Heather & little DaMarcus.

Already happens lol.

How about you reenact Helen Keller's role in "The Miracle Worker" and stfu?!

Not really, you make me chuckle

Not really sure anymore. Most of it has to do with post #1 I think.

Having to do with post #1 would make sense... since that's usually where a thread starts but damn. There have been about 16 different conversations in this thread.

Yeah, it's been hi-jacked from several angles. The main topic is still Cal and how Heather is paying off in karmas to be her boy toy.

I just checked the bookie forum today...seems young Cal has blown another 10 grand on a basketball game.

What do you think will happen when Heather puts the grocery money in his hand for the little guys PB/J & juice boxes?

Poor Dalton is gonna go hungry, thats what.

I will make sure young Denim never goes hungry. He's going to start weight training @ 14. He's going to play rugby...I'll settle for QB though. :whatever:

lol.

We're learning about the French Revolution right now. I'm excited. :nerd:
I focused on the military history classes.....I only had one military history prof that focused on social movements and I had him for "American Military policy Until 1918." He tried to tell me the abolition of slavery wasn't a way to keep England out of the war and was a legitimate social movement, call me a cynic. :)

My class covered through winter 1919.

At the time, OSU was a top military history program, arguably the best. I was able to take graduate level classes as an undergrad.

I remember hearing something like this. They just have a rich military history there in general (rotc & the like)

We had a couple of professor's leave for Oxford after their tenure but we always had high caliber professors. I was on Ranger Challenge and we had a great team, always the team to beat for State. We had a lot of former active duty on the team and I learned a lot. It was a great program when I was there, they actually pushed you to lead.

Seems like a great experience. I have a friend finishing up ROTC @ Purdue University this year. He swears it changed his life.

It changed my life but not in the way I wanted. :)

That means it was in a bad way... :) I became cynical...

lmao I figured.

I remember you saying something about someone getting a spot you deserved because of who they knew/ were related to or something like that.

Not that I deserved but I would have accepted Weimer getting the nod. We were both Freshman. double slotted for airborne and air assault school(as freshman, unheard of), max PT scores and both of us expert marksman on the range and on Ranger Challenge team. The nod was given to a guy that barely passed anything but his daddy was a General and the XO was looking for a way out of training command. Had the old man sat at the head of the board one of us, me or Weimer, would have gotten it, the old man loved us. The Sergeant Major came to me after the fact and apologized for the circus. I'm still a little bitter about it but it taught me a lot about life and merit is a minor part of the equation.

I wouldn't call it cheated, we just finally accepted it wasn't a merit based system; We just didn't play the game properly.
