I am not trying to be a perv - my wife is about to pop and she's concerned about breast feeding - I wanted to see - as someone was just starting it - if it was harder than expected.
 
Yeah, we really need to see the dark brown aerola preggo pics, it's just a man thang..... and some women. :-)
I'd like to see the little sucker latched on for dear life....
 
I've got a baby who goes at it pretty hard on the left side, but doesn't like to nurse the right side for some reason. My nipples hurt a bit, but it is lots easier than I expected it to be.

I do have photos of him nursing, but everyone would probably think I was being a ho if I posted them...lol.

Okay, don't be all pervy anyone. I think these are sweet. The first one is really sweet and the second one, I just thought he was funny because he looks like a little boob pirate.

Breast Infections are common.

If that happens you'll get a fever and have to go on some anti-biotics.... suxors.

In the second pic it looks like he's trying to get a closer look by closing one eye. I do the same thing when I am "feeding". :)

I walked into the kitchen while my sister was breastfeeding once and I was traumatized for life. Veiny white post prego boobs make me want to hurl.... :worried:

I think it's one reason i don't want kids....

I don't think her boobs look bad lol. But in general the idea of post-childbirth-vag kina scurs me a lil...not gonna lie.

That kid is attached to my boobs 24/7. I honestly think I'm breastfeeding more often than not. I think once he is done, he just keeps on suckling for comfort. He does it until he falls asleep, often for more than an hour at a time. Given that I feed him every 2-3 hours, you can see how that would add up...lol.

Ms HeatherRae... I want to thank you for sharing such intimate moments with us.

Far too many Americans know nothing about nursing. Sadly, it had become taboo some time back. Thank goodness more and more mothers are realizing that there is no better way to feed a newborn than with breastmilk. The bonding is a secondary benefit I suppose, but one that is equally important, I feel.

I still remember the first time I put my first child to my breast as if it were yesterday, yet it was over 15 years ago. The experience can not be described in words...

You know, I was just thinking how many *not so glamorous* details about pregnancy, birth, etc you have willingly shared with us. The board's largest population is younger MEN and even the younger women may not know about such details of life. You are doing THE ENTIRE BOARD an invaluable service by sharing so candidly (and with such great humor) so much that many would never know or experience until it was thrust upon them.
