Heated tile.....

We are getting the house a week early and I have some extra time on my hands, so I figya, what the hell?! why not bite off a major project that I have never done before!

Heating the tile floor of the kitchen and breakfast area. No more cold toes at night (well, here that could last all day).

Has anyone done a heated floor project before?

I was just thinking that yesterday morning as I stepped onto the cold bathroom tile and wanted to cry. We had heated tile in the bathrooms growing up and it's the best. Simple pleasure.

We get a total of maybe 10 nights a year below 50 F

I bitch when the pool temp drops below 80F and so I am considering putting
in Solar panels to augment the Propane heat.

I want toast kitchen floor action.. adjustable temp, of course...

We had them installed in the baths (had wood floors in the kitchen). Nothing complicated about it. Just follow the manufacturers instrcutions about spacing, and make certain not to lay the cable over itself. But I didnt do the electrical work, won't mess with that myself

I just found out from my wife that here it's done with ... wait for it... STEAM!

I will NOT be fucking with this project... lol!
