OKay guys I was wondering what kind of supplements would help the heart? I heard vitamin b12 is good and "co q10 enzyme" is good for it....is there anything else that helps the heart function?

Hawthorne
Taurine
Magnesium
CoQ10
GLA/DHA
L-Carnitine
B6
B12 (shots)
Folic Acid
Trimethylglycine (TMG)

Are THE best for heart and cardiovascular system in general.

thanks man...I have some vitamin b12 pills but I was thinking about getting coq10, I would say that is a lot of pills to take so do you know which are the most effective.

Great answer but don't forget the Flax Seed Oil and Fish Oils...alll great for increasing the hdl ratio as well as lowering overall cholesterol.

Selenium and Vitamin E also aid in cleaning the blood and help reduce overall cholesterol.

I can't believe you people are fogetting the two most important compounds for hear health. Vitamin C and Lysine combo, go to paulingtherapy.com and read all about it, this combo can prevent and even cure heart disease.

Arginine is used to make NO, NO is a vasodialator. This is why it makes you erect. It increases blood flow because it dialates the capillaries and other blood vessels.

If you have high cholesterol, try red rice yest.

As far as heart helth: CoQ10, Flax oil, MULTIVITAMIN, a B-Complex would be good (go for the sublingual). Also, extra vitamin C would be good too, take about 1-5 grams a day (i take maybe 1 or 2).

Very little B12 gets absorbed orally, shots are best. As far as everyone's advice, I agree that a good E (like Alpha, Beta, Delta and Gamma tocopherol/tocotrienol is best) and good C (like a mineral ascorbate C is best) are fundamental to any nutritional supplement regimen. Kinda figured it went without saying. I also agree with the Flax Oil suggestion, that stuff is awesome and I take it everyday. If I were to rank them from my most important to least (but they're all important) I'd say the following:

1. Trimethylglycine (TMG)
2. Folic Acid
3. B6
4. CoQ10 (should use a good E together when you take CoQ10)
5. Flax Oil
6. Magnesium (Taurate and Glycinate are best)
7. Taurine
8. B12 (shots)
9. GLA/DHA
10. L-Carnitine
11. Hawthorne
12. Garlic

I hope that helps you bro. If you shop around you can find combinations that contain a few of these together in one pill. The Taurine, Magnesium, TMG and Flax Oil are pretty inexpensive items. CoQ10 and a good E are somewhat expensive. Best of luck to you.
