Health from the Sun Total EFA (omega 3,6,9)

Found this today at my local Musclemag. Sounds like it would taste disgusting but it's lemon lime flavored! It's a mix of flax, borage and fish oil. 5 grams of fat per t spoon. About 47 t spoons per serving $10.49. Definately one of the best fat supplements.

Typical North American diets are already high in Omega-6 fat; supplementation is not necessary. I don't hear much about Omega-9s one way or the other, nor am I aware how prevalant they are in NA diets.

I do know that we are drastically deficient in Omega-3s; and that there are many, many benefits to Omega-3 supplementation in the 2.5 gr/day+ range.

I prefer a straight fish oil (distilled from the body, not the head or liver); Health From the Sun has an excellent Fish Oil product. It runs about $7 a bottle.

Health from the Sun 'Ultra Omega 3 fish oil' is by far my favorite. Nearly pure EPA/DHA, lemon-lime flavor. I buy in packs of 12 bottles. It is only $6 / bottle (in quantity of 12). Barry Sears wrote a bestselling book 'Miracle of high dose fish oil' in which he promotes his own 'Omega-Rx' distilled fish oil product. Is is the same stuff as the Health from the Sun product, EXCEPT that the Omega-Rx costs $78.15 per bottle, instead of $6.00 per bottle, and that is for an identical product in an identically amount!

So, the zillions of people who read the book now buy the health from the sun product, and the result is it is sold out almost everywhere!

If you all are looking for a good complete fat to add to your diets, you may want to give Udo's choice a shot. A very complete fat, that works very well.

i got the regular flavored total efa oil before and it was by far the worst tasting shit i've ever had....so bad that i wasted the $12 and threw it in the trash. but i agree, it is a damn good mix of oils....too bad i can't handle the taste. i wonder about the lemon lime flavored, since i don't see how anything could mask the taste of it.
