Headed to Hawaii Tomm

I am headed out to Honolulu Hawaii tomm morning for some much deserved R & R. Any one got any suggestions of what to do there? Who all has been there and what was really fun to do?

yep spent 2 weeks there 3 yrs ago.. on 3 islands..

depends on what you think is fun.. too many things to do to get them all done.. even in 2 weeks..

we go every year. wifey has a ton of family there and we always have a place to stay (empty house that used to belong to her grandparents). We are usuallly tied up doing family things (always eating), but when we do get away we go to the beach or drive out somewhere to take a hike. Most of what we do there revolves around eating though...which is just fine by me!

Hang out with the locals. They know the islands, and are so much fun to hang out with.

Years ago, when I was a baby RazorGuns, I went to Hawaii for work (tv network). I was by myself for a whole week. Expense account, nothing to do.

I went to the beach. Went to the bars. Met some locals who were so cool. Went to some clubs. Met some fine ladies. Went to my hotel, stuck up friendship with the employees. Every day I was going to all these different cool places recommend by people. I saw so much you don't see in those cheesy pamphlets which just want you to spend maximum money.

Plus I also took time out to see what *I* wanted to see (guitar stores, hobby stores, local concerts, hiking). For you it may be different. Make a list.

And don't forget to post on EF from your cell phone. It's all the rage.

Yep, and eat the food the locals eat, it's cheaper.. a lot more so.. a lot of the things to do is relax, or run around doing all the tourist things, either way it's a good time..

Here's a little piece of information..

I asked a woman (local) that since they live in paradise, where do they go on vacation (she was in her late 30's) she said the younger ones go snow sking, most most go to las vegas.. I was shocked..

Anyway, most fun we had was the racing Catamarans, the bike ride down the mountain, the zodiac boat ride whale watching (that was indeed the best), did the trail to Hona (sp) take the helicopter ride for the water falls..

we hiked in to the black sands beach.. the green sands beach.. and the nude beach (dont' go, the women are.. lets say thick)..

remember to eat loacal, it's tons of fun..

Awesome, I liked the helicopter flight over the live volcano! You can feel the heat!
