HCG vs Clomid

From what I understand, HCG restores the body's natural testosterone level to normal immediately, but has no lasting effect... what's the point of HCG then?
I can see the benefit of Clomid where it's effect is to slowly bring the test. level back to normal thru FSH and LH... but how does HCG differ from just a simple testosterone shot? Either way, the body has a testosterone spike which drops again, right?

What help does HCG offer in restoring your body's test levels to normal ? permanently

IMO HCG does more harm then good post cycle. It can be used mid cycle to help avoid testicular atrophy but Clomid post cycle is the way to go.
