HCG Injections

What kind of syringe should I use for HCG? I've read people use insuline needles, but not sure the size needed. Also, I see some people do sub-q injections and others do im for hcg; any thoughts on which is best?

23" is huge for HCG as its water based...I wouldn’t go smaller than 25g 1". I think all manufacturers recommend IM, but I’ve herd subq works too.

The beauty of HCG....can be injected subQ and IM. Anything from an insulin syringe to 22g will work....depending on the injection site; i.e., glutes 22-23, delts 25, abs slin.

Just about any 3cc syringe is fine for intramuscular (IM) injections but insulin syringes are recommended for subcutaneous (SC) injections.

Hey Jenetic,

Wouldn't it be tough to measure out IUs in a 3cc syringe? What is the ratio of cc/ml to IU??

No. You shouldn't be concerned with the 3cc volume since you only need 1cc per injection. There isn't a specific ratio. It depends on how you mix it. It's quite simple. If you dillute 5,000 IUs HCG with 5ml (cc) solvent, the end result is 1,000 IUs per ml (cc). Divide the same 5,000 IUs with 10 ml (cc) and the end result is 500 IUs per ml (cc). Therefore, a large part depends on the concentration of HCG per ampoule or vial.
