HBO Steroid Report

That was a very good piece Real Sports did on steroids, but they can make thousands of shows just like it and it's not going to change a thing. I was watching MLB the other night and they aired a commerical bashing steroids. It was sponsored by MLB. Anyone else see it?fun28hi said:

I agree with you. The powers that are in control of Washington have made a personal vandetta against steroids because they think it will help them gain more political power. After all, in the couple of elections we picked our president based on morals and religous beliefs. Hell even Arnold has become a turncoat!

i can watch that over and over again. it is music to my ears. i had my wife watch it and she said, "Wow". she had no idea that we all were going on what people thought and not actually tested. i hope that more and more news stations decide to do a piece on this. i highly doubt it because its going against what everyone believes. and most people want to keep it that way. its a shame that we have to lie to people just to make them feel safe.

So back during college my parents caught me with steroids from a needle that had fallen out of my drawer onto the floor and not seen. they raided my drawers and came across my stash.. now that I'm moved out, done with undergrad, and on my own, I sent them that link and told them to watch it. They called and apologized for almost sending me packing back when that occured and that they didn't realize everything behind it, and all they knew was from the propaganda... I hadn't gotten to see it yet because I am over here in France studying.. I have HBO at home and was hoping it would still be on InDemand when I got back to the States here in a month, but now I don't have to worry about it.. Really appreciate that link up...
Totally forgot the point of my post.. point being.. as i said.. my parents who were completely against it, saw this, and their viewpoints changed, maybe not huge amts, but they changed. Now how many people actually have HBO.. shame it couldn't be put on Primetime television where 3/4 the United States could watch it. maybe it would change more than just the HBO viewers thoughts..

a tiny drop in the bucket. peoples minds are made up on this issue, 25 years of misinformation from the government and the media combined with peoples insecurity and the salacious desire to see athletes achievements belittled means no-one is going to give a shit about this.
