George it's your board and your choice and I know business is business, but I really don't see the good in this. It has the potential to cause a public outrage and then the gov't will have to step up and do something to stop how easy it will be portrayed to be.

I still think someone should step up to the plate and take a look at it. Do not tie it to any boards. Sit down talk to them and see what they are planning on doing. IF it looks bad, fuck them, if they seem to be unbaised, then it is worth looking into. At that time a representative of, not elites boards, but someone from possibly the medical community could look into doing an interview. Legal work must be done for protection of the boards and the person giving the interview. If we do not feel comfortable with what is happening at that point then you can still NOT DO IT.
As far as the mexico thing, I say again, bad idea. And blocking the persons face out is even worse.
Maybe the boards should pull together with their own funds and join with HBO to create a documentary. This would ensure protection. (Yeah, I know, I am living in a perfect world again.)
We blame negative public sentiment towards anabolics on the media. This is partly true. BUT. Can we also put some of the blame on ourselves. Arnold is the perfect example, he now denies AAS use. NFL football players deny use. Mark Mcguire said it was prohormones not AAS. And I completely understand the denial, due to the fact that it is illegal and considered cheating. But as long as we keep it underground, then it will be considered underground.
This may not be as important to some as it is to me. But, most do not completely understand the consequences of using a controlled substance illegally. I have seen it first hand and I came real close to running my life. Not physically, (I am 30 years old and healthier then most 20 years old.) but I could have lost everything, after getting charged with possesion, and being threatened with a distribution charge (which never happened).
AAS will never truely meet their medical potiential for things such as AIDS wasting, anti-aging and yes cosmetic purposes until it is no longer a controlled substance and is put back into the doctors hands. Doctors are scared to even talk about AAS due to the fact that it is scheduled must less do anytype of research.

Please remember that this is HBO's special and not mine. I think it is safe to say that they will do this special if they want to regardless of what we think. And I think it is also safe to say that quite a few folks at HBO read this board.
It was a great idea to recommend involvement by Rick and also members of the medical community. I have not personally committed anything to them other than to let you guys know about their plans. If HBO does decide to mention web sites, and I have no idea if they plan to, I personally think that a site like elitefitness.com, who's purpose is education, would be a better site for mainstream America to see than some of the "hook up boards."
I appreciate everyone's comments and concerns.
