ok, when im useing norton anti virus 2004 ( yeah its out of date ) well its picked up 12 at risk files wanting me to delete them, so i click delete. then it asks me if i want to ignore any from next times search, so i i dont select any names then i click exclude, it comes up with no files have been deleted. so i try again, click delete, then i click skip when it asks me that question, but i still comes up with a " no files were deleted !! WTF ??

Maybe the files you're trying to delete are system files, in such case Windows could prevent you from delete them. You could try to boot from a CD and try to clean the virus from there. Be careful some antivirus can damage your Windows installation trying to delete a VIRUS, and for that the only solution is to reinstall.
