having surgery on the 16th

just found out, hernia sugery on the 16th of DEC,
Man, I hate anything that puts me out of the gym, I always feel like I am behind, and its going to be sepecially hard to work out after that kind of sufery, no working out for at least 2 weeks, I hope I can get back full force, I can turn into a fat lazy slob in less then 2 weeks! LOL

Just regular lifting, not one special incident, I was told ya either get em or ye don't! There is now way to prevent them, just have them corrected as soon as you get it. I have no pain now and I am lifting pain free, but I am trying to avoid a porblem
 
wow i always thought they are super painful and you only get them from a certain occurance... like deadlifting.
 
its from straining, not any particular excercise, holding your breath w/o breathing increase abdominal pressure, I have heard that proper breathing during lifting decreases risks.
