I have them and I have bird houses as well, every year it is fun to watch them. You can see one of them checking out which house they want and later you will see them go in and out making the nest...before long you can hear all the babies chirping.
and yes, they go through the seed within a day or two at my house, hard to keep up and the only draw back is that it makes the grass grow faster and taller under feeder.

I have the hummingbird feeder in the front yard, I get swarms of them. It was funny last year because there was this one that would hang out close and run the others off. I will have to get another one this year.

They are actually very territorial and aggressive little things. Mine was out on the back porch and that male would practically land on my head out there. He wasn't afraid at all. He was completely focused on guarding that feeder...lol.

That sounds to hilarious......I watched a neighbors dog do that, the dog was full of determination but the squirrel would just antagonize him to no end. As soon as the dog would start to walk off, the squirel would run down the tree, the dog would run back and then the squirel was back in the tree. To funny

After an hour of continuous barking from bth the boys, it isn't as funny.

I shoot the squirrel with my airsoft pistol and he disappears for a day or so.

My son has one of those, he recently upgraded to the automatic one. He tries to shoot at the cat that keeps jumping over eating the dog food and getting on my car

LOL I had an automatic one too, used to get in firefights with the neighborhood kids all the time. Little bastards would ambush me nearly every day.

That sounds like fun. All the kids used to come over alot when I lived in my other neighborhood but not so much now...don't have hardly any. My friends would poke fun and say I was the Mrs. Jones of the neighbor since they seem to come over every time I was laying out by the small lake in back yard.
