Have my static ip now to get server working

I have win2000pro. I have my static ip an it runs into my router. I can access net obviously. Now how do I set up my ftp server and web server so that I can access my shit from the net? I want to test that my ftp server works from the outside. It works locally.

What do I do next. I am trying to use my computer at home for my www and ftp server. When I have it all working then I will have my websites redirected to here.

what router? basically you need the router to look at what port things are coming in on, and redirect to the appropriate port on your machine(s).

people might arguably call that the DMZ that you need to get setup - I've heard people refer to that only when you are trying to get out only, not when you want data coming in.
but I've heard it both ways.

they have a board system that is like elite, but it goes over home networking.
they have a different board for different router brands and such.

that will have all the info you need on such things.
