i wonder how the pledge period is for HA
could be brutal

i read a few books about HA, one by the founder, and they seem like thugs
would be fun and reckless lol

I think the hazing is as bad or worse than it is for the Lambda house.

One of my previous bosses had/ has an uncle that was with HA. Didn't get into it much, but he said some of the stories he told and women he showed up with were pretty wild. He said it was in the late 70's/ early 80's that the uncle was around the most.

the crank dealing fist-fighter types?
maybe you are more wise to the matter than i
i would have assumed they were not
I'm sure I am more wise to the matter than you, no direspect intended. As I said it is not the norm but is also far from unusual. Research some of the early HA membership or read HS Thompson. For that matter google Banditos or HA. They have websites now and that is all done by members. The higher up's stay away from the mundane and obviously recruit lower classes to do the grunt work and take all the risks.....but they have to pay their dues to get there. These days it takes some brains and some education to get to the mid-upper ranks of a club. Clubs have been paying for prospects to go to law school since the late 60's.

Hehehe....The "Linkhorn" analogy for which he got sued for plagiarizing! He also makes reference to the upper echelons being college educated.

Sonny Barger. I don't remember who it was that sued HST....some professor at USC I believe. Hunter had permission to cite his work but apparently lifted about 6000 words verbatim. One of HST's books contains all the letters between them.....pretty funny when he threatens to rip out his liver and roast it over a fire!

Your SO??

well... yes... I was completely against it while we were married for a various of reasons. So of course within the month I left him he therefore bought a new harley and began prospecting. I would never have a thing to do with such a thing, and he knew how to crawl under my skin and that was the way. WE (notice i said WE) have a family, though we are not together we have kids and they are put in this crap too. How he doesn't see it ... I dunno. He is more focused on revenge than he is on making his kids a good life.
