Has your physique ever effected your career?

For the business people, has your physique ever effected your career?

What I mean is has it ever got in the way of it, I am by now means even near huge, but I am growing, and I can see how people are now looking at me and i feel there opinion of me is changing as I grow. I am the only bodybuilder in my company of around 400 employees.

has the development of your physique ever crossed that boundary and effected your career?

Is there anyone here who would like to enhance there physique further in size but wont because of there career?

I just feel that people are starting to view me differently, and not necessarily positively.

It seems mostly to do with the men, rather than the women.

Yes and No, it has helped and hindered. Mostly I have been turned down jobs because of my hair, I would not cut it for 1 million dollars an hour. peace

I definately get it.....all I hear is how I think I am a "tough guy" or "too cool" now. To tell you the truth I feel like I am more outgoing then I was because I lacked so much self confidence before. I think allot of it is jealousy, but I never tell them that. That would only open a larger can of crap!

I would say it has helped me in many situations.
I.e. it does show that you have goals and are able to obtain them. Yes at times some do make remarks,,i.e. juice boy, steroids etc. but in the end it has allowed me a few more job opps then others in my dept.
It has also led to less conflict in my daily job duties.

Its actually helped me when dealing with outside vendors, contractors and Irate employees. They seem to settle down and take me seriously when they see me face to face. I guess my size shuts them up.
My boss actually likes that I'm "bigger" than the average employee because he thins it makes his department seem more Intimidating. go figure.:alien:

Hmmm, not really, although on heavy cycle's I have lost my temper with a few of my 'co-workers'...... last week I was in theatre, there is one sister that's been there for 30 years, she is universally acknowlged as a bitch. She started giving out at me because I was wearing trainers(new trainers, I had permission from the surgical manager). I tried to tell her this and she started yelling at me telling me to piss off and get out of her theatre.

Anyway, I told her to fuck herself and find another scrub nurse in front of the entire theatre staff, I got into trouble for that one.

Not that I care, I don't usually work there anywayz.

Liberator - I think being fit can be a positive. Although, sometimes wondering eyes can be working & is that good or bad? haha

It definitly helped my career. Don't laugh but I work at Wendy's and anytime a customer starts giving the casheir any trouble or raises their voice I step up and say "CAN I HELP YOU' and they back down real quick.:finger:
