Has Shock and Awe started yet?

Can't happen so fast. The American forces will be slowed by the somewhat expected mass defections and surrenders of Iraqi soldiers and citizens. It ain't easy to set up POW and refugee camps for so many people y'know.

The last time I was in D.C., I was just a kid. And our nation wasn't preparing to go to war. I keep thinking about the citizens over there. And I think about our soldiers who are ready to go. I think about a friend of mine who has to go over there, and he can't tell me where he will be. He's in the Air Force. I'm not in shock. I have been expecting this too long to be in shock. When it actually hits, then perhaps the shock will do the same. As for awe, that's been ever-present. I don't expect it to go anywhere anytime soon.

That will be the single biggest obstacel faced by the Allied forces: how to deal with all the defectors.
Word is bond.
