Has Shock and Awe started yet?

The ground push of shock and Awe is well underway! Humvees, Crusaders, M1 etc. Mid range air is also going on! Longbows, Apaches etc! The Air bombing, and cruise missile of Shock and Awe has not started! Depending on the push it may start as early as this evening!

Also included are the covert operations in Baghdad and oils wells. Cyber attacks and electronic financial attacks are underway!

Can't happen so fast. The American forces will be slowed by the somewhat expected mass defections and surrenders of Iraqi soldiers and citizens. It ain't easy to set up POW and refugee camps for so many people y'know.

That will be the single biggest obstacel faced by the Allied forces: how to deal with all the defectors.

Word is bond.

Front line troops are going to skip them! Backup in the rear will handle any Mass POW! US troops are not going to get bogged down with POW! Plans were in place before the war to handle POWs! They will not slow down front line combat troops!

I don't think I would have had the same awe if I hadn't been in D.C. for the last few days. There was a feeling in that city that I hadn't experienced before. The last time I was in D.C., I was just a kid. And our nation wasn't preparing to go to war. I keep thinking about the citizens over there. And I think about our soldiers who are ready to go. I think about a friend of mine who has to go over there, and he can't tell me where he will be. He's in the Air Force. I'm not in shock. I have been expecting this too long to be in shock. When it actually hits, then perhaps the shock will do the same. As for awe, that's been ever-present. I don't expect it to go anywhere anytime soon.

Hey NB! We had an awesome time. Got in last night. We managed to be interviewed by a reporter from the New York Times and one from ABC 7 news. THe worst part of it, or rather the biggest hassle, was the guy on the tractor in the Reflecting Pool. Thanks for asking! :bigkiss:
