Has anyone tried Anavol?

jnuts

New member
I looking at getting some Creatine, the lady at GNC said they have a new pill form of Creatine called Anavol?? Has anyone used this before?

Mrs. Jnuts

No experience with that one.

Name is sort of implicative of other "substances" tho....

Don't forget to take a look at PureCEE at the AF Store as well.

I read up on PureCEE, its alittle pricey but sounds better than the typical powder Creatine, esp. the fact that the bloating side effect seems to be non-existant w/ PureCee. In the past when I took Creatine I had alot of cramping and bolating.

OK

about the bloat.....

none of the project gals are haing any signs at all of bloat....

creatine will cause cramping if hydration levels arent adequate along with potassium and taurine...from that standpoint creatime is creatine....

Creatine bloating or lack of absorption can come from pure creatine not combining with a phosphate - which it must - to be effective in the muscle cell. The amount of creatine utilizable is dependent on the amount of phosphate your body has available. You body will 'load' less creatine if the amount of phosphate in the muscle is not sufficient. The addition of phosphates allows your body to load and then retain more creatine. Once this occurs you'll be able to achieve your goal of increasing strength and muscle mass. Hope that helps. :)

bunny, have you seen good results since taking saturn8?
Sorry sweetie I was referrnig to what Skittles said - We both are part of Shadow's Project, both do not bloat from Creatine...

I use the Edge HP Creatine Plus currently.

Week by week I feel better and look better - things are going better than I expected :) I'll have updated photo's up tomorrow or so In my thread if you want to check out the results for yourself. There's photo's from my start date (Jan 25th 05) in there now, or in my gallery ;)

I have it has given me some of the most intense high energy workouts I have had in my life. There is zero water retention with it.

True to some extent..the Creatine also leads to bloating when there is too much magnesium hanging around in the body as well

^^^ Mrs J, she knows Creatine better than me... I think I might make this my next purchase though when I'm out.

alrighty, will start looking, your before pic.s aren't bad at all, doesn't look like you need much improvement.

Thanks, quadsweep sister for the info on the creatine.

maybe I'll start a Mrs, Jnuts log :)

I'm off to bed, coming down w/ a sore throat. My little boy just got over a sore throat and fever. The crud is going around down here in LA.

I feel like crap, my energy was low all day and the sore throat started last night, Its been all thru the schools here, stoamch flu, colds you name it. I hate to miss a work out. I'm going to take some more echinacea and vit. C before I go to bed.

I would have to disagree darlin...

Creatine monohydrate can not even compare to creatine malate. I could base this strictly on my experience with both but I will back it up with some facts.

Satur8®'s key ingredient is DiCreatine Malate (2CMTM), the most superior and bioavailable form of creatine on the market. By supplementing with 2CMTM users take less of the actual product compared to creatine monohydrate yet still achieve the desired results of strength increases and muscle fullness. 2CMTM differs from creatine monohydrate in that the water molecule has been removed from the actual creatine molecule alleviating the problems associated with creatine monohydrate - cramping, upset stomach and water retention. 2CMTM forgoes these problems to deliver creatine straight to the muscle for muscles that look hard and defined, not soft and smooth.

^^^ I couldn't have said it better myself this part of a review from another site.

...the advantages of a Malic acid creatine formula:

1 - It possibly has a greater bioavailability than a monohydrate version.

2 - Since there is no monohydrate molecule attached, there is no "bloat"

Disadvantages:

1 - It IS an acid base and can affect those with ulcers, acid reflex etc. Which negates the advantage of possible stomach cramping bu not having a monohydrate molecule attached.

2 - Increased water retention WITHIN the muscle is the desired benefit of regular creatine. Increased intermuscular water leads to increased leverage, which translates to better, faster gains and increased recovery time. A hydrated muscle provides a mucg better environment for growth.

3 - Price is a factor. A quick look at Tri-Malic brands in general yields a general price range of 60 cents to a buck 15.

......the MAIN unwanted side from regular creatine is bloat.

I have NEVER experienced bloat, even at 15 grams per day, while on a carb smart diet. I don't believe any of the women currently taking it are experiencing it either.

Im not slamming Malic versions....they do work.

Do they work better form a performance standpoint??

I havent seend a study to indicate either way.

Do the Malic version provide a better "cosmetic" effect?

Possiblt, if you arent on a lower carb diet
