Has anyone noticed nootropic effects from Dostinex?

I was wondering from those members who used or are using dostinex, if they noticed any nootropic, cognitive enhancing effects.
I know that there is a few nootropics that increase cerebral functioning via it's dopaminergic effects.
However I know that nootropics such as selegeline, hydergine and piracetam all work through increasing dopamine or increasing receptor sensitivity to dopamine and work on D1 and D2 receptors, probably in memory centers in the cerebrum and the hippocampus, where I thing that Dostinex works on increasing dopamine at the D2 receptors in the hypothalamus.

what makes you think this?

also, is this drug synergistic with bromocriptine, thus allowing lower doses of each which might minimize the bromo sides and also make it more economical with dostinex extremely high price (nearly $25 per pill in Canada)...

I'm thinking along the lines of 1.25 mg bromo per day with 1/4 pill dostinex per day...

Anyone here try uprima?

Well for starters it is a dopamine agonist albeit it's area is more pituitary and hypothalmus specific and having strong D2 binding affinities. Like I said that I realize this, but this was the purpose of my question and I wanted answers from users.
BTW it does have neuro-protective properties, in case you didn't know. Keep an open mind Bro....

Cabergoline prevents necrotic neuronal death in an in vitro model of oxidative stress.

To study if cabergoline, a long-lasting specific dopamine D2 receptor agonist, has neuroprotective effects against oxidative stress, we exposed (3 h) SH-SY5Y human neuroblastoma cells to tert-butylhydroperoxide (t-BOOH; 500 microM). t-BOOH caused a 42+/-4% neuronal death, which was prevented by cabergoline (2 h before) in a concentration-dependent manner (EC(50): 1.24 microM). This effect was not antagonised by haloperidol (concentration up to 10 microM), and was associated with an increased availability of intracellular GSH contents (+30+/-11%) and a decrease in the membrane lipid peroxidation (-23+/-9%). Our data suggest that cabergoline has neuroprotective effects useful for Parkinson's disease therapy.

Not really synergistic zz, however you would be able to use a smaller dose of dostinex, because they are basically the same thing, but Dostinex is more effective and is void of side effects typically seen with bromo.

Keep in mind that the recomended dose of Dostinex is 0.5mgs 2x weekly and splitting them up would be like splitting up this dot (.) LOL.
I hear that the drug Cabaser is also cabergoline in 2mg. tabs= to 0.5mgs of Dostinex. I imagine this tab would be bigger thus making it easier to split, but I can't say for sure, as I haven't seen them before.

Try hunting around for on-line sources, as I'm sure you can find them cheaper than 25 a pop.

I tried uprima(apo-morphine) before. Not bad for libido, but I had nausea, headaches and diziness from hell.

Good Luck Bro....B32

yeah, I had a bit of sides from 1.25mg bromo (dizziness, nausea) and wasn't seeing any results, so I gave up on it and was reluctant to up the dose for fear of more sides

The last go around I bumped up to 2.5 mg per day and started to get noticeable results and no increase in sides... when I get more I will try an even higher dose to see how that is, in lieu of getting some dostinex
