ok why dont cops shoot people in the leg

years ago in ny the police were at the range and the guy doing the training told the cops to empty the spent shells into thier palm(using revolvers) and put the brass in thier pockets then reload ok later several cops were found shot to death with thier empty brass clutched in thier dead hands

so fast forward to today if a cop shoots someone they are under so much stress you probably cant understand. so they are trained to shoot to center of mass.
why ?????
largest target most likely to hit and if a cop shoots someone it had better be a life or death situation or dont shoot, so dont worry about killing someone because the only reason to shoot someone is because they have the ability oppurtunity and wherewithall to inflict grave bodily harm.

so in conclusion sorry for the long answer but cops dont and will never make a habit of shooting people in the leg.

now why do cops shoot someone 10 or more times on a regular basis.

answer cops are trained to shoot people until they fall down or drop thier weapon. some people fall down when shot once some people dont. i saw a video of a shooting where the victim was shot over thirty times but why.... he still had his gun in his hand pointed at the officers so thats it if you dont want to be shot multiple times by a cop FALL DOWN THE FIRST TIME.

also on a tangent cops are trained to shoot people in the head if the first 4 shots to the chest dont stop the "victim" and to shoot for the hip if that dosent work so the cop can runaway.... if the chest and head shot dont work the hip shot will slow jason down.

hope this answered your questions

Wary of racism complaints, police look the other way in black neighborhoods

From a local Liberal rag:

"Wary of racism complaints, police look the other way in black neighborhoods"

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/134310782_police26m.html

An Excerpt:
Some officers, such as Michl, say police restraint during this year's Mardi Gras riots was an example of de-policing. Most of the suspects in the Mardi Gras violence were black, and police leaders, knowing the violence was being widely videotaped, did not want officers battling with black suspects on TV.

whoa, this thread isnt about the race issue, (i dont think anyhow)

i can understand why the cop leavoingn the house didnt jus move back in. its not as if the guy with the rake could say 'hold it or ill rake u'.

Just adding to the discussion regarding how cops are being so scrutinized that they often find themselves unable to do their jobs.
Same thing occurred during the Puerto Rican Day parade in NYC a coupla years ago. Cops have their hands tied even when they are in the right.
That's all.

it ok dude, i want flaming u or anything

Thank you acneman

You just answered even more questions than I posted.....makes complete sense......this is just the end result of second nature training and situational stress decision-making.:D
