Same here except for the Catholic school part.

When I go to vote and am faced with a sheet of paper that has 30 years worth of my signatures on it, they don't all even look like they were signed by the same person.

I forgot how to write the number 4 for an entire day. I could write a 4, but not the way I usually did or at least it didnt look like it to me LOL! weird. Cursive that is legible, no, but I wrote in scribble/cursive while taking notes in college. I learn by kinesthetic action so the acting of writing helped me learn the info. The notes were barely legible in a mix of fastly written cursive but looking at them later I could still remember what they meant. To write in cursive like in grade school, that ability has long since past.

I'm not sure why they even teach cursive in school.

At least you have the signature going for you. My handwriting is so bad that the company GySgt threatened to send me to penmanship class.

At work we have limited ethernet connects in the conference rooms and my stupid laptop has a battery that can't hold a charge so it would take me 10 min to reboot the fuckin thing in order to start taking notes.

The ol' pen & paper work fine for me. I'm so anal about my notes I even use the tiny quad paper like I did during my engineering days.

I write all my notes using microsoft onenote. my taboret PC has a 14.1 inch screen that folds down s0 its not much thicker than a regular notebook
