Harder to get gear through customs in the future.

I fear that gear will be harder to obtain through customs in the future due to government crackdowns. The government will be looking to stop future terrorist attempts, and a big one that comes to mind is chemical warfare. If the government decides this could be a possible threat, they could start inspecting all packages, no matter the size. A bootle of gear could just as easily be a warfare chemical by outward apperances. Could this be possible or am I being paranoid?
