Hey HS

I e-mailed ya from my website address so you could see it's me! :)

I guess you still won't believe it is me if you didn't before but...whatever...

Some people just don't believe the evidence of their eyes, do they? ;)

how did you find this board exactly? you clearly have no interest in your physical appearance.

Someone who evidently knows people here told me there were good people here. Wanted me to come here - as it were LOL :D

I don't know their username here though, by which people know them...was it you? :mix:

LOL

I frankly don't care if you're a new or previous member,
your post about Prayer of Jabez was a hoot.
Caused me to go to Barnes & Nobel and read a chapter...interesting.
But,
Mailing from your web site address only compounds the questions:

Your website email address is listed as [email protected]
yet you registered on this board using email
[email protected]

Of course, most of us have multiple email addresses
but the one we register with here is verified.

Anyway, nice to meet you.
If you stick around, you'll be challenged to start a fitness program.
I just read some of your theology writings. Interesting.
Personally, I've always wished we could drop Paul out,
he comes across as such a shriveled bitter gay Queen in denial of his emotions.

Hi John

Actually i think in general Paul makes most men today look like scared little boys trying to be big boys, and in denial of their emotions ;)...I mean, he was always saying stuff like how he cried his eyes out over other people and he opened wide his heart and so on...

if you read it carefully he writes about his emotions a lot!!!

I bought the prayer of Jabez book in the end so i could read it through in case i misunderstood his tone. For a while i tried to be in denial of how it had made me feel like puking and i even wrote an obsequious letter ot them about how great it was *sheesh* which is probably still on their site (i wrote as "joseph") and well, it wasn't lies but really there is still that arrogance in the book... i mean what complete tit would write about how he prays a prayer on a plane, laughs about it being answered and when the people next to him ask him why he's laughing he won't even say. Way to go Mr Bigshot I witness to lots of people about Jesus - yeah right - you wouldn't even tell those two people next to ya on the plane when your prayer was answered. You complete moron!!!

Ah i guess i am still a bit annoyed about the acclaim that stupid little overpriced book is getting...yeesh...Americans are so stupid to buy it in droves - they all have a Bible already - that 4 line prayer is in there - heck it's *free* on the end of each of WODIN's posts for Christs sake!!! But oh no, off go the good little sheep and pay their $9 each and there it is now on the bestselling MISC book list of the NYT. Great.

I think i hate Christian books!!!...(there are exceptions though ;))

p.s. yeah see, lots of people have multiple addresses. I mean if you start getting banned off of places you need to don't ya? ;) etc etc :rolleyes

Do you think we are still good people?

No offense but for a 'housewife' (pardon the expression) with two kids you seem to have a lot of time to go the computer.

yeah i admit i am shit at housework and kid-minding. i am hoping when i feel better emotionally (when people in Real Life stop treating me so much like shit, that would help  ) that then i will be less dependent on looking for cyberspace support. *sigh*. Maybe i'll get bored and post less soon...oh i don't sleep (much) either - gives me extra time to post...

life...well never mind...time to make dinner then...

I'm on the building committee, we just finished building a new sanctuary in Austin.
Really cool architecture. Looks like a high tech tent.
The pic below isn't our stucture, not that big, but gives you an idea.

LOL it was more of a collective 'you' than you personally...no offense... :)

John

I have a link to my church on my site. I think most people would say it is 'fundamentalist' although technically it is 'evangelical'. It is independent i.e. not part of a denomination.

Go figure the official church views on homosexuality differ from your denominations... my personal views on such differ from my churches but i mostly keep quiet about such things at church unless someone wants to discuss them in an appropriately discreet way.

Well my church wants to but God evidently said no by doubling the cost from initial estimates :D so they had to put it on hold.

Whoever said God doesn't answer our prayers of 'tell us what to do!!" LOL ;)

Funny, God told us to go build a Sprung building for half the cost.
The church membership built it with our own hands and saved a bundle.
The best part was how everybody came together and got acquainted in the process.
