I was going to say...I celebrate the 4th as a victory of sending Eng back to their island. Still kind of funny to think in historical perspective of not once but twice defeating them...I bet the founding fathers never would have believed it if they knew we would one day be allies with them
It is the aniversary of confederation...when a group of provinces were put together to form the Dominion of Canada. This has led to what has become the best country in the world in which to live...according to the United Nations (so don't flame ME!). Of course the weather often sucks.

they are part fo the commonwealth same as australia. basically its our own version of the UN except its all the countries britain has at one wime or another considered hers that wanna still be members, pakistan and india are members (i think pakistan got kicked out etc) since the sun at one time was always shining on the british empire its pretty damned big!
