I live in Astoria with a view of Manhattan. It is great to be able to just jump on the Subway and experience one of the best cities in the world. Even if I take a cab home from midtown it isn't even 20 bucks. Costs more for my friend to get all the way to downtown Manhattan where he lives! If you are going to move to the city you either need to get rid of your car or live somewhere outside of Manhattan so you can park your car. Even than it can be a bitch, Astoria is great because it has municipal lots unlike almost any other place in NYC. The rent is very expensive in manhattan, must be the highest in the country.New York has 5 boroughs, but you'd probably only want to live in three of them. Manhattan, Queens, or Brooklyn. The meatpacking district is one of my favorite places to hang out for both clubs and restaurants.
New York is expensive and if you are not used to big cities it can be a crazy culture shock too. You see crazy shit and overhear all kinds of things here in NYC, I have never seen another city really like it. But there are plenty of other cool cities. New York is great because it is a place to both work and go out, so right there you get something that you will not get from many places. Better to move here if you have a little bit of extra cash or a good job as it things can add up.

Man that'd awesome. Yea I would like to check it out for sure and I wouldn't bring my car I'd take a train ride there with my clothes etc..I really wanna move I am like a big fish in a Lil bowl in my town. Nomore. Growth here for me.
