I'm shopping for a new home theater A/V receiver
I'm about ready to buy the English Cambridge Audio Azur640r

FriendlyCanadian said:that's a lovely reciever, I used to be in home audio, is that a true 100 watts per channel shit my ride is here.. nice reciever! very nice..

a couple of places had it at 1300FriendlyCanadian said:anyways what I was saying is if it is a true 100 watt per channel reciever, then that is pretty sick. It probably is because it doesn't look like a cheapo sony that SAYS 100 watts per channel.. when it's really closer to like 8-10.. bastards.
I like HK alot, but I think their highest was like 75-85 watts per channel.
how much is that reciever gonna cost you bro?
Spartacus said:a couple of places had it at 1300
and then I found hifitrader.com at 1000 through ebay
I'm calling them tomorrow to be sure it's legit etc.
I'll never buy sony again
I'm replacing an "elite" reciever I bought from sony in 1998 for about 1000
it's all but quit playing

sound and vision mag has it as their recommended mid-priced reciever so I researched some and it's well regarded on the Av forums and elsewhere. and yes I kind of like going with a product that's non-nip and English. I have Klipsch speakers too.Mr. dB said:I'm not up on current stuff at all, but in the past Cambridge had an excellent reputation for decent sound quality. I think it'd make a nice "boutique" alternative to the usual mass-market crap.
