Weren't you just talking about how games take up too much time of real life? Fallout 3 is a pretty massive RPG....even too intimidating for myself. It looks cool but I'd have to have mucho time on my hands before diving into that sucker.
There are a few games where I make an exception. They are the games that I used to play in my youth. For example, I played Auto Duel, Wasteland, Fountain Of Dreams, Fallout 1, 2 and now 3.
Yeah, it's gonna take up alot of my time. I've got to send the kids and wife away for a few weeks.
BTW, Fountain Of Dreams was still the best out of that bunch. Auto Duel is next. F3 is next.
I'd be screwed if I wanted to play all the game series from my youth. Lets see....Zelda, Mario, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid...
I played Metal Gear Solid 4 though, and it was well worth it.

B) I'm confused by that game. I thought it was a pretty RPG intensive "FPS"......but apparently the combat system is not "FPS". Or does it play like a straight up shooter??...

Actually, the game is more of an action RPG, it can be a FPS (but a really crappy one if you compare it to others or it can be a action / turn based game if you use the VATS. I like it for the story.

The aim is horrible. VATS makes it more playable because it has the dramatic action. It's hard to explain.smart ass........

No you aim like a 1st person shooter it just seems a little....I don't know different. harder for some reason. like the aiming feels not as smooth as most 1st person shooters.
Yeah, but the barrel sights on the gun are a bit off and the sound of the gun is a little weak. That said, it is a little more 'realistic' because if you were some 19 year old kid who spent their entire life in the vaults, you wouldn't be some kind of war machine.
I'll see if I can take some videos for Youtube or something like that. They might have them up there already.
I'd probably play Fallout 3 if there was a nuclear war and I was trapped inside for a few months. That would kick ass.

Just watched some game play footage on youtube, I can see now how they encourage you to use the vats system. The game doesn't seem like it does a whole lot for me. AI looks dumb as fuck. I like the RPG elements.....I just wish they made it into a real tactical shooter.
Actually the more I think about it...I bet the shooting experince gets better the more you level up.
I remember thinking that Oblivion or the one before that totally sucked when it came to the combat system...felt the same like something was off...but the more you leveled up the better it got.
