hang gliding lesson or parasailing - better present?

As far as I know, he's never done either, but both would have appeal for him....he's very much like me in that he has a good sense of adventure and loves the adrenaline rush. I don't know enough about either to know which one would give a bigger jolt. Probably the 2000ft hang gliding, but again our schedule is kind of flux on friday (the only day next weekend with times available that we won't be diving), so it would be hard to schedule something solid in.

Hmmmmm, yeah the tandem thing would be best, but if its not doable, I wouldnt force it, cuz then ya'll might not enjoy it as much anyways.......

Is he more of an ocean guy or a sand/beach guy?

i've been parasailing; i loved it. there is no "thrill" aspect of it though; it's just hella relaxing and the views are sick.

That's what I thought might be the case...but that wouldn't be bad either.

Chris...more of an in the water/ocean guy...he surfs, dives, etc.

See......personally, being above the water for 12 minutes with the view and all would be far more pleasurable for me than the hang gliding. Thats just my opinion.

My friend broke his finger and was drug 200 yards through some sticker bushes while doing a tandem parasail lesson. I would say that sounds fun!

lol...this would be over water.

Parasailing is a yawn. It's fun for a couple minutes then, your just hanging there. I guess it's something to do once or twice in your life, and if your afraid of heights then I'm sure it's exhilarating.

Tandem Hang glide > Hang gliding lessons > parasailing

Be careful though, are you prepared for him to become addicted and attempt to take up hang gliding as a hobby?

This is how I'm leaning right now...I'm just trying to figure out now how to make sure we get down there in time for him to do it. And if he got addicted, I'd be thrilled by the fact that I had been the one to introduce him to it.
