Hair Loss & Recovery

Okay guys, here's a question:

I dont' have MPB, and I'm not prone to it. I was wondering, if I used gear and it made me lose some hair, after the cycle is over, would it grow back? Just curious :)

well what i'm saying is that if genetically I am not prone to mpb, will it come back? I have a full set of hair = nice and thick..so i know its not mpb.. i haven't experienced any of these side effects..but just curious..

Current research suggests that MPB is caused by androgens binding to androgen receptors (AR's). Those who are suscreptable to MPB have a tendency to have higher amounts of AR's on the crown and on the frontal scalp. If you experience thinning hair in these regions, then it is most likely MPB and will not come back to its original condition. There are other forms of balding where the hair follicles ore forced to shed prematurely on all areas of the scalp. If this is the case, then it will most likely come back, although in some cases, this allows androgens to affect the AR's more easily, and shut down the hair follicle (MPB).

No, and I somethimes wonder if the Bros who post about having noticed some re-growth after a cycle are suffering from mirror illusions because I don't think it does really.

Mixed feelings about this one.

I did a test/deca/winny cycle and I shed like a dog -- it was unreal. Even with a full head of hair all the way to 37, I lost hair in even non-MPB areas like above and behind the ears!

I stopped the winny and the situation seem to have corrected fairly fast. Only problem is, it takes 2-4 (or even 6-8) weeks for all the shedding to run it's course. Soon after that, I started noticing a crazy number of new hairs popping-in -- even in the very front of my scalp. I've had about 6-8 good weeks of "recovery" now, and if I can have at least 6-8 equally good weeks (which I'm terrified won't happen) I should be back to normal. The only thing that bugs me is I don't see the follacles in thinned areas growing 2 and 3 hairs out of the same follacle right now.

Here's what's hard for me go gague. Before, if I stood under a bright light you could see across the front of my head about 2-3 good inches "deep" into my scalp. I was definately thin and it was a pretty broad area -- at least 6-7 inches across. That area is now a much narrower band -- about 3 inches across. It looks like it's "filling-in" from the sides and working toward the center.

So why does it appear to be filling-in toward the center? Theory 1 is I had some genuine MBP and this is leftover from that. Theory 2 is the follacles on the top-most portion of my head were the hardest-hit/slowest to recover ones. Or theory 3... hair orientation. I go straight back with my hair (a.la. Jay Cutler, without the muscles!). When you do that, the hair on sides will naturally look thick because it's layered. But the hair on the top gets spread over a fairly large area and lays straight back, as opposed to on it's side. Anyway, that makes me think that the top-most hairs need to be extra dense to insure the proper look.

Anyway... I rambled. This sound familiar to anyone else?

All this is just like I said. The hair loss here was due to TE and it grew back. Hair loss due to MPB won't; that's why a lot of guys on here say it won't come back, because that's what they have.

So your experience mirrored mine? Even the fact that it filled-in on top the slowest?

Also... my friend/workout partner had almost the same thing happen to him at the same time... but he doesn't touch gear. We both had uncontrollable hairloss and insane swelling (i.e. so much fluid draining into our hands that we couldn't close our fists).

I'm speaking from scientific research only; I have no personal experience. I've been taking saw palmetto extract for years and have a full head of hair. Even after finishing a cycle with sust, it's as thick as before.
