Hair loss question

Dave949

New member
Been lifting for two decades but I`m a newbie with AAS.

My question is: If there is any hair loss during or shortly after a cycle will this hair grow back or is this a once its gone kiss it goodbye thing ? Thanks in advance......

Depends on your genetics. If you have the MPB (Male Pattern Baldness) gene you can kiss it goodbye with out using preventative meds.

No... I do not have male pattern baldness. At 46 years old I have some very minor hair line recession above the forehead. Other than that I have a pretty thick full head of hair and sure as doo doo stinks, wanna keep it. Will most likely do a cycle within the next 6 months but not at the risk of losing my mane.
Thanks for the info Doublebicep........ :)

Then it probably won't be a problem, if you notice some thinning, just take some proscar

You should only lose hair if you have a predisposition for it...

If you lose any... it would have gone anyway kinda deal... kinda like speeding up the process I guess...

This question has been asked thousands of times. No disrespect bro but this is a question no one can answer for you. You will have to find out for yourself. And no matter what answer you get here you will still do what you plan to do, so just do it and take carefull notes and observations. Also stock up on ancinilaries sp, to prevent hair loss.

Peace.

the wuestion is what do you use to help prevent it.. now you have a bunch here are some yuo can look aroundfor info on:
spiropent,nizoral,minoxidil,proscar,propecia,adovart.. if i was a platinum member i remmeber reading about 4 weeks ago a great thread with a bunch and a brief summary ... very very informative.

At 46yo you now have a pretty good idea of whether or not you are going to suffer from MPB. Sounds like you don't have that problem.

Depends on the anabolics you were using for your cycle. It also depends on your propensity for male pattern baldness.
As even the mild anabolics could agrevate hair loss if you have a strong genetic predisposition for the MPB gene.
Even without any androgens/anabolics, you may experience hair loss as ones individual gene expression could be so strong, that only a small amount of androgen need be present to cause hair loss.
It's also a genetic factor which will determine whether and to what extent your hair re-growth will occur. If you are experiencing loss from a telogen phase basis in folicles that are pre-programmed to permanently survive, then you will grow these areas back, once the agrivating culprit has been removed(androgen) and the folicles are being stimulated to pass into active phase(anagen).
However the ones that carry strong gene expression for loss will not re-grow under normal circumstances.

One can still achieve regrowth with various agents...finasteride 1mg. and minoxidil 5% combo......

Here's a good thread you should read over.
