H-cet from JBN...

I was wondering if someone could read the ingredients from the site and let me know if it sounds like a good product...you can't beat the taste of their whey protien....

JBN H-CET / creatine

It will definitely provide you with energy as the dextrose content will amount to nearly 32 grams of each 42 gram serving.

Taurine: A non-essential amino acid used for fat digestion and controlling cholesterol serum levels. It also palys a role in how potassium, sodium and calcium are used within the body. It is best combined with vitamin B6 for optimum results.

Malic / Citric Acid(s): These will give the product a sour taste.

DMAE: This is usually associated with treatments for ADHD or other conditions which affect the central nervous system or brain as it increases acetylcholine levels. You may experience headaches, irritability, muscle stiffness, or insomnia from using DMAE. If you have been diagnosed with epilepsy or bipolar disorder then you should not use this product.

Glycine: If you have a pre-existing liver condition then you should avoid this as glycine will elevate your ammonia levels.

Sodium: Since this product also contains creatine (monohydrate), you may experience some bloating due to the presence of additional sodium. You may experience this more if you are using more than one serving per day.

Creatine Monohydrate: This is listed as 6 grams per serving so you will be getting a maximum of 5.28 grams of actual creatine per serving. If you use this product several times (2-3) per day, you may experience gastrointestinal discomfort. Greater than 3X and you may expereince diarrhea. However, due to it being a 'mixed' supplement, you cannot be certain as to the exact amount of creatine you will be consuming per serving as each scoop may contain ~90% dextrose ~10% creatine or ~10% dextrose ~90% creatine or any other combination. Therefore, the positive and negative affects of using creatine in this manner will fluctuate.

If you are looking for a supplement to provide you with energy then just purchase Dextrose. If you are looking for a creatine supplement then just purchase the creatine as a singular, high quality, sodium free, supplement without all the delivery agents and additives.

i got this from kian's thread...

Micronised Creatine:
This is a finer powdered version of creatine monohydrate.
Pro:
less chances of gastrointestinal problems
is available in more and more products
Con:
more expensive than monohydrate

Effervescent Creatine:
This will either be a creatine monohydrate or creatine citrate with the addition of bicarbonate (sodium or potassium) and citric acid. It is the bicarbonate and citric acid which produces the reaction when water is added. The creatine is dissolved and suspended as a result of the reaction. Creatine citrate is more soluble in water than monohydrate and therefore would be the better choice of the two if using this type of a delivery system. However, the actual creatine content of citrate based creatines is low (2.0 grams per 5.0 gram serving).

I can't recommend that particular product as I have not seen the HPLC analysis. You could contact the company but they will likely only show you the Certificate of Analysis (COA) which does not account for possible contaminants.

The 7 gram serving of creatine (6.16 g actual creatine) is quite high especially if you are planning a loading phase. At this rate there is a chance of diarrhea and possible dehydration.

Try this one: Creapure

Is there a particular reason why you wish to use creatine?
