Gyno Surgery Questions

How much is it? What's the down time? Does it keep it gone if you get the whole gland removed? I just decided I'm dedicated to competing, but I need to be able to do gear like tren if I want to be at my best. I'm sick of that shit knotting up my nips though, so I'm thinking bout just cutting it out.

I wanna know too...last time I checked it's around 2 Grand. I think finding a reputable surgeon is probably way more important than cost.

2 grand will get it done but plan on 3g for a quality job. Rarely do they remove the entire gland, usually they're just trimming it up which is why even with surgery it sometimes resurfaces. I had it done and was happy with the results - minimal scarring unless you look really close.

My insurance was going to cover it but you have to have a Dr that is down. They can't call it gyno, they have to express concern and call it a tumor. My primary Dr referred me to a surgeon and the dude never called it gyno and when I told him what caused it he just said, well we're going to take that tumor out. I ended up opting for a plastic surgeon and had to pay. Insurance isn't going to have a plastics guy do something and charge double what a general surgeon would charge. Some general surgeos kick ass though but your odds of getting minimal scarring are better with a cosmetic surgeon for sure

My doc told me 4 weeks and I could start going lite but I only missed a week and a half and was going heavy by week 3. I wouldn't reccomend my way though - I'm usually considered an idiot

Are you able to run gear now that used to give you gyno?

down time?

NONSESNSE!!!

recover, review the cosmetic impact of the surgery, you chest may end up uneven!

take that month off to get everything in order, rest then see doc again then start lifting.

why would your chest end up uneven? I guess it would depend on how invasive they needed to be. I got pretty much right back into the gym and my chest looks bettern than it ever did. Individual choice though, do what you're comfortaqble with. Dr's are usually going to be overy cauteous

Ive had it done. Make sure you get the entire gland removed, or it will come back. I dont know who does the surgery for 2 or 3 grand. Sounds like a hack job if you ask me.. A good surgeon will charge between $5000-7500 for procedure. Mine was $5500 and my insurance covered everything. Post surgery is most important. I had to wear a compression vest and a wrap for 2 weeks. I actually kept it on for 1 month total just to be sure everything was kept tight. Best thing I could have done in my opinion. I dont see why people keep wasting their money on temporary fixes(ex. arimidex, etc) If the gyno keeps coming back cycle after cycle, that should tell you to get it taken care of right.

If your serious about surgery, just dont go with the first doc you see. I had 3 opinions. I told them exactly what I wanted done, and went with the one I felt most comfortable with.. It wont come back if you get the gland completely removed. And that was told to me by all 3 doctors.

Also make sure they give you lipo around the nipple area. It causes the puffiness look associated with gyno. I was pleased with everything, and I would recommend it to anyone.

I went back to the gym in about a month. I could have went back sooner, but wanted to be sure. Ive ran 2 cycles since having it done, and no complications whatsover.

what if theres no lump.. just puffyness.. you wouldnt benefit to have the gland removed.. would you?

I'm having it next month $5,500 for both sides and insurance will not cover it. From what I was told by all three Doctors I interviewed, the entire gland cannot be removed, but most of it can. I have a lump that won't go away, I even had a mamogram. I am having the lipo and the gland removed. Make sure you get the incision around the nipple (some Dr.s won't). I will wear a Compression vest for at least two weeks. MY Doc told me four weeks out of the gym, but I figure it'll give my various nagging injuries time to heal. I figure that aroung 2 weeks, I'll go nuts and start working my legs.

ha im one of the people that would rather have my scars tear and get an infection than take a month off. fuck what the doc would tell me not training makes me suicidal.

Strange, 3 doctors I talked too said the gland can be completely removed with no complications. I had the incision right across the nipple. You can barely see the scare, unless you look close and know that I had the operation done..

Who did you end up using for surgery?

I recently started taking propecia and my diet has been poor so I am seeing a ton more fat and the lump is growing. Do you think insurance will cover this?

If its just puffiness, diet will help somewhat, but its a buildup of fatty tissue. Lipo, will definetely get rid of it.. Your doc or surgeon would be best to answer that question. If its bothering you, have it removed.. Its a simple procedure, and youll be home right away..

any idea what lipo on the nipple area would cost? its very minimal but im pretty lean so only I can see it but i hate it

My insurance covered mine, and I just have a simple PPOM, nothing fancy. There was a breast cancer act that was established not too long ago, and the procedure should be covered.. I think it depends on how your doc writes it up too. My doc said he would make sure my insurance covers it.. He even sent my samples for testing for cancer, they came back benai of course..
