Gyno Surgery and Training

For anyone who had gyno surgery how long did it take until you could resume training at 100% intensity?

About 2-3 weeks. The toughest part was anything that you had to stretch for ie pulldowns, rows, etc...

I waited 6 weeks. The most important thing you can do after Gyno surgery is to wear the compression garment for as long as possible. The purpose of the garment is to keep your chest still and most importantly to keep your chests shape. Without it you run the risk of bruising and a slightly deformed chest. It is a small price to pay and in the end you will be glad you took the time to let your chest heal properly.

6 weeks seems like a long time but if it is neccessary then I guess it is a must. I think I will go through with this surgery because the gyno is already hampering my training just by the pain I am getting on certain exercises.

It is the greatest feeling in the world when those lumps are finally removed from your chest. I couldn't wait to finally be able to take my shirt off at the pool.

Mine isn't terrible as it is only in one pectoral but it is not something I want permanently I'll tell you that.

Sounds like how mine was...very small unnoticable scar, doc did a great job. I was back in full force in 2-3 wks. tops.

Ok thanks that seems tolerable. Did you stay away from all kinds of training or just any involving your chest?

I've asked this before... but once you have gyno surgery can you never get gyno in that pec again?

Yes you can. It is almost impossible for the surgeon to remove the whole gland and surrounding tissue. I had surgery - waited 6 weeks before any training. I hit up 15mg Dbol to start my last cycle and started to get that familar itching. Had to take Nolv to make it go away. Now, I won't use anything that would promote gyno- I mean ANYTHING! I agree with erichals - it was the best feeling in the world to get rid of those lumps - man, it hurt so bad when my wife would try to fall asleep on my chest!
