A gun is just a power drill... one that lets you make holes in things that are across the room.

What would you think of someone who "found" a power saw, started jumping up and down, and then cut his hand off with it? He's a panicky doofus, right? I think any adult should know how to pick a strange gun up, safely, and put it away if it's not where it ought to be. You don't have to be pro- or anti- to understand simple machinery and handle adult responsibilities.
