Gun manufacturers

i think this was one of the most unlawfull and ignorant law suits ever to have taken place. for one, it was unlawfull in my opinion because the gun manufacturers have no liability for what someoen does with their product. do we sue ford for someone slamming an F350 into someone else, no. it was also a mockery of our judicial system and a waste of time. it was dumbe because again the liberal movement has nothing better to do with their time than try to shut down my rights to own a gun so they make up some bs excuse to sue them in turn just about put them, well the american companies, out of business. they can't touch the foreign companies but i'm sure they will try very soon. it just seems to me to be pointless to sue the GM(not general motors) for liability for people using their products to kill. we have gun laws and regulations that are failing, hence the goverment failed with the brady bill and other laws and so the next step is to put the american companies out of business by suing them which drives prices up and puts them out of the market cause the foreign gun companies will just keep their prices the same which means people will buy them instead. what's next on the list, ford, chevy, ABC, magnovox? c'mon there is fine line between justice and abuse of justice and someone's crossed it.

agree that Gun manufacturer have nothing to do with those ghetto moron killing people. We all know the dangers of using a gun on someone lol Its so obvious.

ah come on ryan. i posted this just for you. :)

My discussing the gun issue, will create at least 200 arguments, I don't have the energy to contend with them.......

I think the same thing, people HAVE to be, not should be responsible for their actions. That is all there is to it.

Even today with all the info on tobacco, i bet you there will be someone 20 years from now sueing Big Tobacco for their lung cancer.

I see nothing wrong with the manufacturers of Bullet Propulsion Devices.

if there was a malfunction in the gun or something untoward happened then i could understand it

otherwise from a legal standpoint i would have thought the liability of the gunbeing sold to a less-than-approprtiate owner would lie with the vendor of the gun and possibly the states laws governing the slae of those firearms. going after the company would just mean more $$

It's already too late, they did it to tobacco companies, next lets go after Hostess cause they made some fat bastard they way he is-there is no line drawn, only exceptions...

I have eleven balck talons staggerd with Hydra-shocks in my Glock 17 two inches from my left hand as I type this. It is my fucking responsibility how I use this weapon and no one elses. I also have a real Katana on my wall. If I go whack some prick's head off, are you going to find the swordsmith that made the blade and sue him? I also have a pen near my right hand. Where's Bic's corporate office?

trainharder, thanks man. that's my point exactly.

danielson, i agree with you there too.

thaibox, your point is well taken as well.

with the law suits all you have done is taken the responsiblitly away from the local/state governments and placed it in the manufacturers hands. that's not very fair is it. if craftsmas tools are used to kill people are you going to sue them? what about louisville slugger, cold steel knife co., or how about bic? if those cities that joined in that law suit would have realized their own failures to protect the public and enforce the current gun laws they would not have needed a scapegoat and that's what they used the lawsuits for. to replace money lost why failing to do their job. maybe the people that live in those cities should sue the cities for lack of proper law enforcing or for not doing what they get paid to do in the fist place.

Great post Sushi X. A gun is like any other tool its useless until a person puts it to use, good or bad.

Yup. If you want someone dead you'll have them killed. Shit all the teachers in school talk about hiding guns in school bags. One can easily hide a glock and some rounds under a shirt. Or if one student was the target, then a pen to the jugglar [sp?] will do the trick. Guess we'll have to go back to writing with chalk and individual pieces of slate next.

Guns don't kill people....people kill people.
