GumTissue Graft!

Going in For a Gum Graft surgery today. Anybody done this before?

I guess braces or something did it for me but I guess they are taking tissue from the roof of my mouth and going to place it where my gumline receded.

Never had a surgery or anything in my life. Atleast I'm off work for a few days and getting paid I guess.

It was suggested to me, but I opted for getting the teeth crowned where the gum was receded. I was going to need crowns on those teeth soon anyway, and by doing that, I averted the need for the graft. I know a lot of people who have had the grafts done, and although it sounds horrible, I've never heard anyone say it's that bad after doing it.

no, but I can't think of anything more horrible, not at this exact second anyway.


I have had gums lasered down for a crown tho and that seriously didn't hurt a bit.

it went well, pain pills definitely helped. Now time to drink whey shakes to stay full haha

Sorry I caught this too late. My wife had it done. Some pain but no worse that tooth extraction or most other procedures.
