Gulf Stream and the gov't KNEW the FEMA trailers were contaminated w/formaldehyde

This is only news to you
This has been an issue for such as long time that class action law suits are now in the works

I'm just pointing it out

Dude, you get your "news" from a website run by a prosecutorial law firm that's trying to drum up business for a class action suit. I'm LOL'ing over here. There's no incentive for ATTORNEY's to disseminate alarmist information is there? I mean, they couldn't possibly be driven by, I dunno, a profit motive?!

Like they did when knowingly moving into an area beneath sea level I suppose?

First the people , now the whole area
Wow point fingers at everything else but the problem

People live in Southern California and Northern California. They live in constant threat of fire and earthquake, but I rarely hear of these comments apply to those folks...

The hypocracy is stellar

I there some implied excuse or even a commendation for gross negligence here?

Yeah. The majority of people crying about the fema trailers and the free food cards sucked off the gov't long before Katrina hit. When a "natural" disaster strikes what role should the gov't actually play? Should they hand out free food and shelter, or should the people take care of themselves?

lol @ people expecting the us government to be good at something.

When has the government done a fantastic jbo at ANYTHING? Besides tax collection. Name 1 thing.

People bitching about the govt will continue long after we're all dead. Ever seen the competency and educational background of your average govt worker?

r
In China, they do a great job of keeping the people in line.

In Whitby (small Ontario city), the HR director has done a great job of keeping the people trained and marketable.

Oh right...this is a government is always bad thread.

GJ...What would you have done differently? People were screaming for help. Would you of taken more time and fully inspected your trailers? Don't you think that this would of been called out as 'not caring for black people' because you were taking too much time during the inspection?

The people in Cali pay for the damage themselves, through their own insurance.

They are not sitting on their asses with their hands out and blaming the govt. They did not use the fema debit cards to buy bling instead of improving their situation. They did not fire on relief workers and those trying to help them. They did not loot their own community. They recover quickly. Why can't New Orleans?

The stupidity is stellar.

And if you take the time to notice, I am pointing my finger exactly at the problem.

You ask me that as If I've read what all the responsibilities of the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agencies roles are. The President and Congress define that.

The class action link also points out that people used those trailers and mobile homes during Hurricane Rita and the California Arson. So your statement is total lunacy

You also rarely see these people crying about the conditions of the "FREE" homes the gov't provided for them in the wake of such disasters. I feel really bad for all those affected by Katrina, but damn how long has it been now? These people are still living in gov't provided houses and eating gov't provided food. When will they start doing for themselves?

GJ...what is an appropriate time to give people to recover from this type of disaster and move forward?
