You did say FEMA, yes?
Who appoints the head of FEMA?

Would you blame the CEO of Honda if you got into a car accident?

Come on, man.

That was my point

So, did the trailer manufacturers. So, what are you whining about?

This is a point of misinformation IMHO
The workers for the Gulf Stream Trailer in Indiana were getting sick in the manufacturing of these trailers. Infact I believe they are the ones who originally started this lawsuit business probably due to the fact that Gulf Stream was granted 1/2 billion dollars to manufacture these trailers
Here's what I was trying to find

I Think I alluded to this type of situation in a post yesterday. This is my last post for the afternoon, since I have to get back to my real job. So, here's the thing . . .

If it hadn't happened at Gulf Stream, it would have happened somewhere else. Alternatively, they could have taken their sweet time building all trailers and mobile homes to code, as I believe they should have. The end result would be a thread on EF and multiple news stories on how the government in general, Bush and the Republicans in particular, cared so little about the Katrina victims that they didn't even provide trailer/mobile home manufacturers with an economic incentive to get the job done fast. Instead, they let the poor (and larcenous) people of New Orleans et al. languish outside, while they sat back in their mansions all nice and cozy.

Do you see how this shakes out? Either way the gov. is the bad guy and in either case a law suit could be filed. Doesn't that strike you as a bit wrong? And, incidentally, I'm not a Republican, so you don't have to be conservative in the least to see how this is a catch-22 for FEMA, Congress, and the White House. Enjoy the rest of your day folks!

OK , I'm just curious how the discussion went from pointing out facts to jerseyrugger is or is not a republican?? Your beliefs are yours and that's on you. That has nothing to do with me or anything I said.

All I'm saying is those who were hurt or even lost loved ones should get some compensation. The politics of this is unfortunately unavoidable , but that's the jist of this
