Greetings everyone, this is my first post on the forum. I'm a 31 year old male, 5'9", 150 lbs, moderately active.
For as long as I can remember I've had symptoms of low testosterone, such as very low libido, low physical stamina, difficulties putting on muscle with strength training, always some extra belly fat. But lately, it's been getting worse, so I decided to do some lab tests. I did my own research in choosing these labs, so I'm sure there are others I should get. They are copied below:
Total Testosterone......392.....348-1197
Free Testosterone ......6.0 ......8.7-25.1
DHEA-Sulfate ..............262.....160.0-449.0
LH ...........2.4........1.7-8.6
FSH ........2.9 ........1.5-12.4
SHBG ....43.5.......16.5-55.9
Estradiol ...............21.5 ......7.6-42.6
Progesterone ......0.5 ........0.2-1.4
TSH .....................2.370 ....0.450-4.500
Thyroxine (T4) ...5.9 ........4.5-12.0
The numbers that most jump out to me are total and free testosterone. I know something is up as my 67 year old father, over twice my age, has double the free and total t, and he is not on any hormones.
What do you learned members of the forum gather from all this? Would you recommend HRT? If so, what route exactly?
Thank you kindly everyone
