you need to determine what percentage you be comfortable loosing and stick to that

i mean buying dips is good to average down....but at a certain point you gotta stop buying so you dont get your ass handed to ya

look out for yourself....i mean look at the last crash ...brokers telling their clients ...average down average down! when in actuality all they were doning if providing liquidity(buyers) so the smart money could unload

thats why all those overnight millionaires in the tech boom alot are broke dicks now and the smart money that got to unload are even richeer now
 
thanks for your advice; yes I am still putting cash in so maybe I will just re-direct my future investments into what you said (bonds)...that was only one fund for my losses.

check out corperate bonds...see what your fund offer....that did really well for me in the last market selloff
