Woman is acting like the worlds coming to an end because we couldn't put the optional side rails on her treadmill! Says she CAN'T use it because IF she might stumble, all she will have to grab on to is the front rail.

We turn in the service request to fix the problem Wednesday after the delivery and she's not happy because it is taking too long to get it fixed.

Says our quality control is terrible and our customer service is a joke.

Then she resorted to the old, "Well this is a small town and word of mouth travels fast!", bullshit!!

Ohhh I hate this shit!!

At the end of the day, do you really care?

If it were in the gym I worked in, I'd just stare at her vacantly (smiling of course), saying any shite to placate her "I'll pass your message to the manager, <name> - It's in the process of being fixed, <name> - Yea it's rather unacceptable, my apologies, <name> etc etc."

Whenever I get an irate customer, the things I think to myself are "this causes me no physical harm, I will collect my weekly payslip if I put on my bullshit apologist facade & don't provoke her, just stand here smiling and nodding politely and let her gob off until she's done. Hmm, tea break in 15 minutes".

I stop caring for the client when the member doesn't treat the facility as a source of leisure & tries to provoke you, /shrug. Couldn't work in a US business, too much emphasis on "the customer is always right" and whatnot.

In my line of work, customers can kiss our asses, be them black, whilte. latino, asian, etc.....


Customers are second class citizens!
