what causes this... my internet connection is going up and down. Been happening all week it is driving me nuts. I will see at one point like now my airport is at full strength and then it will go down to nothing. I share the internet with my land lady upstairs it is high speed. I know this used to happen with my old roommate when he was down loading a ton of stuff. Her son is here for the week so maybe he is...I know for sure she wouldn't have the first idea how too.

LOL he is not a kid and maybe he is gone now the rental hasn't been here all day. It is driving me nuts I can barely check email and don't even think about watching utube.

if you have a modem coming into a router, pull the power on the router, then pull the power on the modem, and the cable from the modem. wait 30 seconds, plug cable back in, then power to router, then power to modem.

let it power back up and see if it improves. sometimes a pc reboot will help too.

if neither of those, you can call service provider and block off a day to sit and wait for them to show up between 8 am and 5 pm -- fun stuff.

He is still here so must be something he is doing ... I shouldn't complain as the net is actally free but shit I am at the point where I would rather pay. He is here once a month for a week so the $40 it would cost me to get the net seems worth while. Plus I know she doens't have an unlmited package so I can't go nuts downloading stuff.

yea might be worth the small investment. always frustrating when you wanna get something done online and cant.

IMO if she has the modem access, Id go knockin on her door and ask her to reset it.
