How do these fit into the legal picture. meaning... if somone was to have their house search and they had a vial of each in the fridge and some pins, how much trouble would that get them into.

It largely depends on what state you live in. Some states list things the feds dont as scheduled. Ricks book has a pretty comprehensive list for each state.

Zyglamail is right, LEGAL MUSCLE is very comprehensive with regard to individual state's laws. Some states have created legal quagmires and, very often, legislators have essentially professed their ignorance. One such example, which Rick has pointed out in LEGAL MUSCLE, is Delaware's Uniform Controled Substances Act which so erroneously defines hGH as being synonymous with hCG. Telephone calls to the equally clueless Delaware Board of Pharmacy never clarified the issue.
